Hi,
I’m trying to get a Ships Radio Licence for my lift-keel Sonnata.
The Ofcom online application procedure for a Ships Radio Licence requires the “Vessel gross tonnage (in tonnes)” to be recorded. All the statistics on the Sonnata association website and the original Sonnata brochures simply refer to a displacement of 1115kg (no indication of whether lift keel is any differnet) – clearly a very different measure than that required by Ofcom.
At the moment I can’t get beyond the first page of the online application.
What have other users entered for tonnage when applying for a Ships Radio Licence – this issue must have been encountered before?
