With the latest edition of the Racing Rules now upon us and the abolition of category B advertising, does anyone have any strong views about the prospect of allowing advertising on both hulls and sails and, if so, should the Class allow the freedom of Category C (anything goes) advertising or restrict class events to the old Category A equivalent (sailmakers marks and small headline sponsors adverts on the bow)?
Without a decision either way we remain bound by the latter I believe.
My personal view is that advertising and sponsorship can be both helpful to low budget sailors and fun, and may bring further publicity and prominence to the class generally.
