Standard Galley?

29th June 2008

I am intending to buy a Snotty that has a single burner cooker. Clearly this does not conform to the “Standard Galley” rule.

Can anybody advise me as to whether a two burner spirit hob is satisfactory under the rule.

The cooker is more expensive than a gas one but the cost and effort of instaling a gas locker in the cockpit would offset the saving.

I do not fancy sleeping in the same cabin as a gas cannister and the insurance company would probably not be too happy either!

The “standard galley” rule does seem a bit vague.

Thanks,

BobD
