This months practical boat owner has yet another sonata on the front cover – this time John Putts boat Piccolo from Parkstone in Poole – congratulations John!!!
Inside there is an article on blue chip 24 foot boats which features the Sonata – great publicity for the class again.
In addition there will be an article in Yachts and Yachting in the next few months about the Sonata. Justin Chisolm has started a new column on one design keel boats and the Sonata will feature. He came to last years nationals at South Caernarvonshire Yacht Club in Abersoch to talk to the fleet and judging by the recent Melges 24 article he wrote, it should provide a good boost to the fleets image.
Hopefully with fleet starts this year nat the Scottish Series, Poole Regatta (sonata Southerns), Cowes Week and Abersoch Keelboat week we will get more publicity for our great class.
