Hope you’ve all gone out and bought this months ‘Practical Boat Owner’ Snotty on the front cover!? and some shots inside under ‘The Lakes’. Not sure featured in a cruise mag is entirely the right image but at least a mention..

Dear All

Have sent a copy of the cover to Jack to put on the website and some info.

Not only is the sonata on the cover (A Sharp Exit – owned by myself and Martin Hartley, class technical rep !) but we are also on:

page 3 – with a picture of sonatas racing on a mystery lake,

page 4 – a picture of Piccolo

page 119 – with the article on the Lake District

and page122 – the same article with racing on Consiton

Not bad for one issue !!!!

Any feature in a magazine is better than none!

Best wishes and a Happy Christmas

Oops! been a bit slow to get this onto the website but here’s the cover picture and the extra information that Catherine sent me:

“The lead cover article is about sailing in the Lake District. There is information on Windermere, Coniston, Ullswater and Derwentwater, including contact details for moorings, launching and local sailing clubs, including the Windermere Crusing Association Winter Series which attracts a fleet of 20 sonatas. There are sonata pictures from the Inland Championships in 2002 at Coniston Sailing Club, including a good picture of ” Dark and Stormy”and a fleet of sonatas at the jetty, plus, on page 3, a picture of Cadenza, Sting and Flashpoint sailing on the “mystery lake”. On page 4 is a picture of “Piccolo” running with an article on the new collisions law that the RYA are fighting against. And finally the lead picture of the Lake District article and the front cover of the magazine have a fabulous picture of “A Sharp Exit” sailing in the WCA winter series last year !”

A great piece of publicity for the Sonata class. Go buy your copy now!!!!!!
